Since 1935, the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club has staked its claim as a renowned tennis destination. Hosting such tennis greats over the years as Ted Schroeder, Jack Kramer, Pancho Segura, and most recently the 2006 US Davis Cup Team (February 2006), including James Blake, Bob and Mike Bryan, and Andy Roddick headed by captain, Patrick McEnroe. Our staff of experienced United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) pros are ready to accommodate any skill level, whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned player. From a variety of lesson options, weekly mixers and clinics to game-matching and the popular Cardio Tennis workouts, the Club can tailor a tennis program that is just right for you. Tennis Lessons: Private and semi-private lessons are available for adults and children with our Tennis Professionals. USPTA Certified Pros:  Conan Lorenzo, Nelson Alapi, Chris Atzet, Brooke Deming, Jeff Eicher, and Matt Previdi. Private 1/2-hour lesson - $ 45 Private 1-hour lesson - $ 85 Semi-Private 1 hour lesson (4 people) - $ 90 Tennis Clinics:  3.0 - 3.5 Clinic: Tuesdays, 9 to 10 a.m. - $ 25 3.5 + Clinic: Tuesdays, 10 to 11 a.m. - $ 25 Weekly Adult Tennis Mixers: Available to members and their guests, and registered hotel guests. Mixed Up Doubles: Sundays, 2 p.m. Ladies Doubles: Mondays, 9 a.m. Men's Doubles: Thursdays, 6 p.m Men's A Doubles: Saturdays, 12 p.m. Cardio Tennis: Cardio Tennis is a fun, new group activity featuring drills to give players of all abilities an ultimate, high energy workout. Taught by a teaching professional, Cardio Tennis includes warm-up, cardio workout, and cool down phases. If you are looking for a great new way to get in shape and burn calories, you must try Cardio Tennis.
