Once you experience the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club you will want to become a part of our unique and private community.
14 acres of land make up the resort at La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club, which lie on La Jolla Shores Beach, a pebble's throw from the 600-acre San Diego/La Jolla Underwater Park, one of the most popular scuba diving and snorkeling spots in Southern California. Three hundred yards offshore, a 900-foot-deep underwater canyon rises abruptly to meet the lip of a gently sloping sandy bottom, which extends from the edge of the canyon all the way to shore. The shallow sandy bottom is ideal for swimmers and waders, and the deep water offshore prevents the development of large breakers and rip tides.
For over 70 years at the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club, the twang of racquet strings and squeak of tennis shoes on the hard court have been as common as the sound of surf breaking on the shore. A virtual who's who of tennis stars have served and volleyed their way to greatness on its courts since F.W. Kellogg first strung nets and invited guests to play on four newly constructed courts in 1935.
The Club's reputation as a tennis-place-to-go was not long in coming. By 1942, The Club had attracted its first major tournament -- the Pacific Coast Men's Doubles Championships -- and, by the 1950s, had become a prominent stop on the tournament circuit, playing host to numerous USTA National Hard Court Tennis Championships. Today, The Club still hosts the Pacific Coast Men's Doubles Championship and is the site of five USTA National Hard Court Championships: the Women's 40s, the Father and Son, the Senior Mixed Doubles and the National Women's 50s and 60s Championships. La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club was the proud host of the 2006 Davis Cup by BNP Paribas first round tie and 2008 Fed Cup Quarterfinals by BNP Paribas.

Membership is available in the following categories:
FAMILY MEMBERSHIP:
Full membership privileges for a family to include mom, dad and any children living in the home until they reach the age of 25.
Entry Fee: $70,000*
Annual Dues: $6,745*
SINGLE MEMBERSHIP:
Full membership privileges for one (1) person only.
Entry Fee: $60,000*
Annual Dues: $5,099*
NON-RESIDENT/OFF SEASON MEMBERSHIP:
Available November 1 – May 31 ONLY. This membership is billed four (4) weeks at a time, regardless of the number of days used within a month. Members have full use of the club during visit. This membership is limited to only four (4) months of the year.
Off-season members get full use of The Club during visits.
Monthly Dues: $1,500*
* Rates are subject to change. Initiation fees and dues are not locked in for membership applicants. Applicants are subject to whatever fees are in place, at the time the application is completed and approved by the Club Membership committee.
