Help students, with a cooperative teaching style, to enjoy the process of learning, and reach their maximum performance state with a full development on their technical, tactical, physical and psychological tennis skills.
With La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club since: 1999

In 1999, Nelson joined the LJBTC staff. He is now working in private, semi-private, and group lessons with juniors, or adults to assist them in their efforts toward their short and long-term goals. Nelson is passionate about helping students to improve in their tennis game, as well as in every aspect of their athletic lives.  Success comes from training, and hours of repetitions focusing on the long-term development, rather than winning in the short-term. Competitive students receive a periodization schedule to peak perform at selected times.  "There is no short-cut to success in athletic preparation. Rushing training will always result in shortcomings, in physical, technical, tactical, and mental abilities. I strongly believe, and work with the USTA model, on Development of a High Performance Player."
