Test your short game ability on our 9-hole, par-3 Spindrift Golf Course. Spindrift is well suited to challenge a veteran golfer or to entertain the novice family. No matter your ability, there is a great time to be had on the golf course. The unique course winds its way around the Club’s pond, as well as defining the north and east perimeters of the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club. Spindrift Golf Facilities & Services: Adult and junior lessons and clinics. Complimentary use of golf equipment including clubs. Practice putting green, chipping area, and driving net. Assistance with obtaining tee times at area courses. Junior Golf Academy: Junior Golf Academy is geared towards kids of all ages and playing ability. They have the opportunity to participate in these afternoon clinics on a course tailored just for them. Beginning with SNAG (Start New At Golf) practice golf clubs, graduating to the real thing, then being video taped and compared to PGA professionals such as Tiger Woods, the Junior Golf Academy will teach, excite, and entertain your children in a sport that they will be able to play well into their future years. To participate in an upcoming clinic, please arrive five minutes prior to register your child at the driving nets. 7 to 10 Years Old: Wednesdays, 4 to 5 p.m. - $ 20 guest / clinic Teens: Wednesdays, 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. - $ 20 guest / clinic 3 to 5 Years Old: Fridays, 4 to 5 p.m. - $ 20 guest / clinic Private Golf Video Analysis & Lessons: La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club may not have a full driving range to hit from, but with this new technology, you won’t need it. The new, state-of-the-art video analysis system will allow you to see your swing on a 15” screen, pin point areas for improvement, and most importantly, put the world’s greatest golfers alongside your swing and compare. Available Tuesdays through Saturdays by appointment 40-Minute Session - $ 80 / adult guest 60-Minute Session - $ 85/ adult guest 40-Minute Session - $ 70 / junior guest 60-Minute Session - $ 75 / junior guest Adult Clinics: Spindrift Golf Course plays host to weekly Adult Golf Clinics. These instructional programs are run by our Head Golf Professional. During each clinic, a group lesson is given on varying aspects of golf including: full swing, chipping, pitching, putting, bunker play, trouble shots, etc. The lesson is then followed by a round of golf on the Spindrift Course providing the unique opportunity to receive additional instruction in playing situations. The adult clinics are a great way to meet interesting people, further your golf skills, and have an enjoyable time.
