The Perfect Place to Learn the Game of Golf
The La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club’s Spindrift Golf Course is a unique 9-hole, par-3 golf course that is the ideal venue for new golfers to learn the game as well as a challenge for seasoned golfers to shoot under par. The longest hole on this beautiful layout is only 85 yards with the average length of hole being 65 yards.

Open Daily from 8:00 a.m. to Sunset.

Golf Services & Rates


The Spindrift Golf Course
Practice putting green, practice chipping area, driving nets and golf course use are all included in the green fee and valid the entire day of purchase. Please check in at the Golf Shop prior to play and show a valid Member Card or Hotel Guest Pass. Please note that golfers under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Adult Guest Green Fee (ages 13 and up): $7.50
  • Junior Guest Green Fee (ages 6 to 12): $6  
  • Adult Private Lessons $95 per hour
  • Junior Private Lessons $75 per hour  

Junior golf lessons are open to ages 4 and older for all skill levels. Lessons cover many aspects of golf including putting, chipping, pitching, sand shots, full swing, course management, rules, etiquette, club fitting and more.

Rules and Protocols:

  • All county protocols will be followed.
  • Each player will have their temperature taken before play starts.
  • Guests are encouraged to wash hands before and after play.
    Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the golf course facilities.  
  • Tee times may be arranged through the Guest Booth. 
  • Golfers will bring and handle their own bags and equipment.
  • Rental equipment will not be available.
  • All golf instruction and clinics are temporarily suspended.
  • Player intervals will be monitored by the Ambassadors to regulate the number of players on the course at one time and to ensure social distancing.
  • Players may not arrive on the tee box until the previous group has left the teeing ground.
  • All cups will be placed so that the ball can be retrieved without touching anything but the ball.
  • Driving nets will space stalls appropriately to maintain safe social distancing.
  • Bag stands, furniture and equipment will be removed from the driving nets.
  • Golfers are prohibited from touching flagsticks.
  • Water dispensers that require contact will be removed.
  • Course restrooms will remain open and will be cleaned frequently and follow protocols established by the CDC and county officials.
  • Ambassadors will monitor golfer compliance of this safety plan while they are on property.

Jacqui Nicoletti McSorley is a Class A LPGA member who has enjoyed the game of golf since early childhood. She received a college golf scholarship at the University of Southern California and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sports Information with an emphasis in Sports Broadcast Journalism. Jacqui played a variety of mini tours and then qualified for her Japanese Tour card in 1986. Married, she lived in Japan full time and played the JLPGA Tour for 7 years, only retiring to start and raise a family.

Jacqui has authored numerous golf articles and a book, “Golf Guide for Parents and Players: Success for Junior & College Golf, Professional Tour and Beyond.” She has been instrumental in the growth of the game, coaching both boys and girls high school teams and being at the forefront of Girls High School Golf in San Diego in 2000. In 2010 she started the Point Loma Nazarene University Women’s golf program. During her tenure, she was honored as 2013 LPGA Western Section Coach of the Year and 2015 Co-Pac West Coach of the Year.

Since 2001, she has been the director of one of the LPGA * USGA Girls Golf sites at Encinitas Ranch Golf Course.

Recently, Jacqui was faculty instructor for Golf Academy of America where she instructed others to follow their passion of golf and turn it into a career in many areas of the golf industry.
