Clean & Safe Commitment

The health and safety of our Guests and Employees is our number one priority as we welcome guests to the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club. The County of San Diego and state of California have outlined specific protocols for reopening the properties. Please take a moment to review the following information below.

As always, we continue to be committed to cleanliness and providing a safe environment for you and your family to enjoy. As an extra level of precaution, we’ve implemented enhanced cleaning and sanitation protocols, including a Clean & Safe certification from the California Hotel and Lodging Association.

Clean & Safe Protocols Property Wide:

Increased attention in public areas that are high-touch points and utilized most frequently, including:

  • Door knobs and handles
  • Surfaces at the Front Desk, Tennis Shop, and Guest Laundry Room
  • Pool and Fitness Center equipment
  • Business Center desk, computer keyboard and mouse
  • Restroom surfaces
  • Club Dining hostess stand, bar, dining tables, chairs and menus
  • Beach valet carts
  • Property water coolers

Additional items include:

  • Prominent signage reminding all guests to wash their hands frequently, keep social distance of six feet, and wear a face covering.
  • Hand sanitizer is available throughout the property so Guests and Employees may continually sanitize their hands.
  • Floor markers and signage throughout the property for directions and reminders on social distancing.

Guest Rooms/Housekeeping

In our guest rooms, we continue to use anti-bacterial/viral cleaners and will be using a hospital-grade electrostatic sprayer to allow for touch-less disinfection. Our Housekeeping staff is well trained in cleaning and sanitizing the rooms after each use and has increased attention on hard surfaces including: counter tops, glass and floors. To increase ventilation in the rooms, our staff is trained to clean rooms with open doors and windows.

As a safety protocol for guests and employees, guest rooms will only be serviced by housekeepers prior to the guest’s arrival.  Housekeeping items such linens, bath products and cleaning supplies are available upon request as needed.

Arrivals and Departures

Each guest shall enter the property through our Ambassador Booth and will be screened for temperature. Any guest with a temperature of 100.0 degrees or more may not enter the property.

At check-in, guests will utilize a credit card outlet to minimize contact.  In addition all room keys will be sanitized using CDC approved disinfectant.

At this time, the Club will only be welcoming registered hotel guests and members on property. Guest Passes for visitors are temporarily unavailable.

Also, please review our Amenities as some experiences have been modified to comply with current county health regulations.

Dining

The private Club Dining Room is available for take-out and patio dining daily from 11:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. For everyone’s safety, new dining-in guidelines are in place and must be followed while in the dining area.

  • Dining tables have been socially distanced six-feet.
  • All party members must be present to be seated.
  • Please wear your face mask until you are seated at your designated table.
  • Face masks must also be worn if leaving the table for any reason.
  • Party size is limited to eight (upon availability) and they do not need to be from the same household. Large party seating is limited.
  • Reservations for patio seating are required for both lunch and dinner and can be made by calling 858.551.4668.
  • Footwear and cover-ups/shirts are required at all times on the Club Dining patio.
  • Use of cell phones in dining areas is prohibited.
