Tee it Up at the Spindrift Golf Course

Located within the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club, the Spindrift Golf Course offers a scenic and challenging layout for players of all levels. Carved out of the beautiful coastal terrain of La Jolla, the 9-hole, Par-3 course is ideal for new golfers to learn the sport and for seasoned golfers to work on their short game and shoot under par.

The beautiful course features 1,362 yards of golf from the longest tees, with short holes ranging from 57 to 84 yards. It has tree-lined fairways, small, slanted greens, and sand bunkers, so you can practice your wedges and putter. No reservation for tee time is necessary.

Private and Semi-Private Golf Lessons
Lessons are available upon request and fully customized to fit the student’s goals. Topics may include putting, chipping, pitching, sand shots, full swing, course management, rules, etiquette, club fitting, and more.

Open to children of any age, our junior golf lessons cater to all skill levels. Lessons cover every game aspect, including putting, chipping, pitching, sand shots, full swing, course management, rules, etiquette, and club fitting.

Private Lessons:

Jacqui Nicoletti McSorley

Jacqui is a San Diego native who played junior and collegiate golf for The University of Southern California on a full scholarship. She graduated in 1984 with a degree in Sports Information Broadcasting before earning a Japanese Tour card in 1986 and moving to Japan. She lived in Japan for 7 years before returning to San Diego when she focused on her young family. Jacqui dedicated herself to family yet remained active in golf. She authored many articles and even a book on the intricacies of navigating the world of competitive golf. She has coached every level of golfer and notably pioneered Girls High School Golf in San Diego in 2000. In 2010, she founded the Women’s golf program at Point Loma Nazarene University and has received many coaching accolades. She directed an LPGA USGA Girls Golf site for almost 20 years and was an instructor at the Golf Academy of America before coming to La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club. Jacqui is a LPGA Life Member and continues to be passionate about teaching beginners and experienced players alike and believes Spindrift is the perfect place for both children and adults to learn the game and master one’s short game.
