Check-in is at 4:00 p.m. and check-out is at 11:00 a.m.

We can note your preference on the reservation and notify you if the room is ready before 4:00 p.m. There are times when we can accommodate these requests. We are happy to store your luggage while your room is prepared so you can enjoy all our many amenities until your room is ready. The only way to guarantee early access is to reserve the room a day ahead of arrival.

Service animals are permitted. While Emotional Support Animals or Comfort Animals are often used as part of a medical treatment plan as therapy animals, they are not considered service animals under the ADA. For the convenience of other guests and to provide the cleanest accommodation available, pets are not permitted at The Club. The Front Desk staff will help you make alternate plans for your pet.

Parking for guests is included in the nightly resort fee.

La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club is a smoke-free property. Smoking is not allowed in guest rooms or on the grounds, including the beach.

Guest passes for visitors are limited to Monday-Friday and four passes per room, per day. Guest fees apply, $30 per adult and $10 per child. Please register through the Guest Booth. Call x4678 from your guestroom phone.

We do not have an airport shuttle available. Taxi and rideshare services are available in La Jolla, including Uber and Lyft, so getting to San Diego International – 11.8 miles away – is easy and affordable.

Yes, rideshare, including Uber and Lyft, is permitted on the property without a guest fee charge.

Yes, our outdoor pool is heated to 80 degrees, year-round, so you can swim and enjoy it during any season.

The pool is open daily from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

We do not have a hot tub or sauna on our property.

The fitness center is open to guests 18 years and older, from 6:00 a.m. to 10 p.m. Please contact the Front Desk for additional details.

There are a variety of local shops within walking distance that provide rentals, lessons, and guided tours for kayaking, surfing, stand-up paddle boarding, scuba diving and snorkeling. Our partners offer discounts on rentals to resort guests. Inquire with the front desk for more details.

Yes, we have designated pickleball courts located in the scenic Spindrift Pavilion, as well as designated tennis courts lined for pickleball use.

Golf Clubs are available at no additional charge. Tennis racquets and pickleball paddles are available to rent at The Burgee Boutique.

La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club is situated in an area that offers plenty of exciting attractions. Some of the top nearby attractions include the Birch Aquarium at Scripps, Torrey Pines State Reserve, La Jolla Cove, and the San Diego Zoo. There are also several world-class golf courses and shopping destinations in the area.

Beach Services

Our beach is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club offers complimentary set-up and use of lounge chairs, side tables, umbrellas and towels. Beach Barbeques, including tables and chairs, may be rented for a nominal fee through Beach Services for parties of up to eight people from the same household or guest room only. Beach fireplaces may also be rented through Beach Services from mid-September to mid-June. Casual food and beverage service is available on the beach through our seasonal Beach Hut, and year-round from our Club Dining room and Walnut Lounge.

Absolutely! Guests can enjoy beach BBQs and parties with delicious food on the private beach of our La Jolla resort. Get more information about beach barbeques and rentals here.

Yes, fire pits are available for rent from September through June. Please contact Beach Services for availability and fees.

Yes, alcohol is permitted on the exclusive beach in front of La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club. Drinks may be purchased at the Walnut Lounge, Club Dining, and seasonally at the Beach Hut.
