The Perfect Place to Learn the Game of Golf
The La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club’s Spindrift Golf Course is a unique 9-hole, par-3 golf course that is the ideal venue for new golfers to learn the game as well as a challenge for seasoned golfers to shoot under par. The longest hole on this beautiful layout is only 85 yards with the average length of hole being 65 yards.

The Spindrift Golf Course

  • Complimentary use of golf clubs and balls included in green fee

  • Driving nets for full swings

Golf Services & Rates

The Spindrift Golf Course
Golf club use, balls, putting green, practice area, driving nets and golf course use are all included in the green fee and valid the entire day of purchase.  Please check in at the Golf Shop prior to play and show a valid Member Card or Hotel Guest Pass.  Please note that golfers under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Adult Guest Green Fee (ages 13 and up): $7.50
  • Junior Guest Green Fee (ages 6 to 12): $6  

Golf facilities and services are only available to Club members and registered hotel guests.

Adult Saturday Golf Clinics

This clinic is for adult beginners and is ongoing, so you can join right in. The program will provide exposure to the game and prepare you for the next step of understanding how to practice playing and manage yourself on the course. These five sessions will go over skills including putting, chipping, pitching, bunkers, full swing and more.

$35 per individual clinic

Senior Golf Clinics

Friday mornings
8:00 to 9:30 a.m.
This clinic is for any adult age 65+ whether a beginner or seasoned player! The program will be tailored to the participants attending and will be a consistent part of your week. You will learn the etiquette and basic rule knowledge, putting, chipping, pitching, bunkers, full swing and more.
Please note there will be no clinics on August 30, September 20, October 11, October 18, November 29, December 20 and 27.

Junior Lessons

Junior golf lessons are open to ages 4 and older for all skill levels. Lessons cover many aspects of golf including putting, chipping, pitching, sand shots, full swing, course management, rules, etiquette, club fitting and more. All lessons are offered in a series package of buy 5, get the 6th free.

Private Lessons
$75 per hour

Semi-Private Lessons
$47.5 per hour

Group Lessons (3 or more Juniors)
$40 per junior

Meet our Golf Pro, Jacqui Nicoletti McSorley

Jacqui Nicoletti McSorley is a Class A LPGA member who has enjoyed the game of golf since early childhood. She received a college golf scholarship at the University of Southern California and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sports Information with an emphasis in Sports Broadcast Journalism. Jacqui played a variety of mini tours and then qualified for her Japanese Tour card in 1986. After she married, she lived in Japan full time and played the JLPGA Tour for 7 years, only retiring to start and raise a family.

Jacqui has authored numerous golf articles and a book, "Golf Guide for Parents and Players: Success for Junior & College Golf, Professional Tour and Beyond." She has been instrumental in the growth of the game, coaching both boys and girls high school teams and being at the forefront of Girls High School Golf in San Diego in 2000. In 2010 she started the Point Loma Nazarene University Women's golf program. During her tenure, she was honored as 2013 LPGA Western Section Coach of the Year and 2015 Co-Pac West Coach of the Year.

Since 2001, she has been the director of one of the LPGA USGA Girls Golf sites at Encinitas Ranch Golf Course. Recently, Jacqui was faculty instructor for Golf Academy of America where she instructed others to follow their passion of golf and turn it into a career in many areas of the golf industry.
