We’ll note your preference and let you know if your room is ready before 4:00 PM. While early check-in is sometimes available, the only way to guarantee it is by reserving the room for the night before arrival. In the meantime, we’re happy to store your luggage so you can enjoy our amenities until your room is ready.

Service animals are permitted. While Emotional Support Animals or Comfort Animals are often used as part of a medical treatment plan as therapy animals, they are not considered service animals under the ADA. For the convenience of all guests and to maintain the highest standard of cleanliness, pets are allowed only in the Beach Club Cottages. View our pet policy here.

Parking for guests is included in the nightly resort fee.

Yes, Wi-Fi is complimentary and available throughout the property, including guestrooms, restaurants, and meeting spaces.

We do not have elevators.

Yes, these cribs, rollaway beds, or highchairs are available upon request.

La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club is a smoke-free property. Smoking is prohibited in guest rooms or on the grounds, including the beach.

Hotel guests may host up to four visitors per day during their stay. All visitors must be registered in advance by calling 858.551.4678 or emailing GuestRegistration@LJBTC.com. Fees will be charged to the room reservation.

The standard visitor fee is $30 per adult and $10 per child ages 5–10, with children under 5 complimentary.

During peak season (July 1 through Labor Day), the fee is $40 per adult and $20 per child ages 5–10. Children under 5 remain complimentary.

We do not offer an airport shuttle. However, taxi and rideshare services, including Uber and Lyft, are readily available in La Jolla, making it easy and affordable to reach San Diego International Airport, located 11.8 miles away.

Yes, our outdoor pool is heated to 80 degrees year-round, ensuring you can enjoy a swim in any season.

The pool is closed to guests under 18 and fully laned from 6:00–9:00 AM and 12:00–1:30 PM daily for adult lap swimming only. It is open for general use from 1:30 PM until sunset.

The fitness center is open daily from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM for guests 18 and older. For more details, please get in touch with the Front Desk.

A variety of local shops within walking distance offer rentals, lessons, and guided tours for kayaking, surfing, stand-up paddleboarding, scuba diving, and snorkeling. Our partners provide rental discounts for resort guests—please inquire at the front desk for details.

Yes, we have dedicated pickleball courts in the scenic Spindrift Pavilion, as well as tennis courts lined for pickleball play.

Golf clubs are available at no additional charge. Tennis racquets and pickleball paddles can be rented at The Burgee Boutique.

La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club is situated in an area that offers plenty of exciting attractions. Some of the top nearby attractions include the Birch Aquarium at Scripps, Torrey Pines State Reserve, La Jolla Cove, and the San Diego Zoo. There are also several world-class golf courses and shopping destinations in the area.

La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club offers complimentary setup and use of lounge chairs, side tables, umbrellas, and towels. Beach barbecues—including tables and chairs—may be rented through Beach Services for a nominal fee for parties of up to eight people from the same household or guest room. Beach fireplaces are available to rent from mid-September through mid-June. Casual food and beverage service is offered on the beach through our seasonal Beach Hut, and year-round from our Club Dining Room and Walnut Lounge.

Absolutely! Guests can enjoy beach BBQs and parties with delicious food on the private beach of our La Jolla resort. Beach barbecues—including tables and chairs—may be rented through Beach Services for parties of up to eight people from the same household or guest room, with a $45 setup fee.

Yes, fire pits are available to rent from September through June. Please contact Beach Services for availability and pricing.

Yes, alcohol is permitted on the private beach in front of La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club. Drinks may be purchased from the Walnut Lounge, Club Dining, and seasonally from the Beach Hut.
